the dress ideas

weddingdress
from left to right:
beautiful big chunky necklace... perhaps a commission by moodswing?
embroidery... i could ask one of the fashion students in my school?
backs are sexy
i like the beading~retro

i'm thinking if i don't find the perfect affordable dress that maybe i'll buy a simple one and spice it up with embroidery, tulle, accesories and a lace jacket. maybe not all of that, at once!

any ideas for cheaper wedding dresses & sf seamstresses & designers? ebay, indiebride are a couple...

My fave would be the bottom right, the simple line and beading. Everyone at my office is always looking for dressed, I will get some ideas from them

Wow...those are lovely. I can see you in the bottom right 100% and I also think bottom left might be drop dead amazing on you...so very pretty. Have you looked in department stores? Since you want such simple lines, an evening gown might really be stunning and afordable. Is there a Bloomingdale's or something like that to start with?

Don't forget ebay --
check J Crew on ebay...I saw some lovely simple J Crew dresses there.

J is doing a wedding line now...

i had my dress made by a local seamstress (i'd recommend her but she's in ny). it was really fun to go through the whole process with her and she knew all the best places to buy fabric, beads, etc. i love the chunky necklace...i thought of wearing one but when i decided on a purple dress i went with simple jewelry.
ps-i'd take a friend over a friendster any day. :)

I bought a beautiful evening dress in a champagne colour - because it wasn't a "wedding dress" it was much less expensive. Have fun looking - it's such an exciting time.
