today was mail euphoria.
penny songbird arrived from Dawn
she is amazing and i cannot believe she is one of a kind & all mine! she will help me save my pennies!
a much gushed over laura brino cd with a beautifully hand-painted envelope & cd cover and these amazing handmade metal "in bloom" flowers from amanda of sketching paris, sibling rivalry (a very cute shoppe with her sis) and her own etsy shoppe!
and then my mom! these pillows we picked out the pattern to on mission street when she visited back in march (next to my favorite taqueria for tacos--la taqueria). not a great fabric store, but this pattern called out to me and my mom offered to make them my dream pillows. there are 2 with adorable little bows on the back and that stitching that matches so perfectly. it all made me tear up a bit.
she also added these treasures of tuscan soap "for that trip to italy i'll take some day" and this amazing lemon curd strawberry recipe i'm gonna get on tonight!
and last but not least i wanted to share a sneak peek at lena corwin's spread in martha. my friend kate bought it for me after i mentioned desparately that i couldn't find a copy! i know this has been all ovah blog land, but it is even better in your hands. it gave me so much inspiration for our upcoming wedding, which by the way is post-poned to august 2007... i don't think i ever mentioned that here. it was going to be this october... yikes! but with my sister's and bf's wedding this fall (among other things) we decided not to rush it. still, i'm excited for the arty details:) have i told you any of this? it is going to be at a beautiful retreat center up in northern cali under big trees and near a river where people can sleep all weekend in little rustic cottages.
speaking of lena, i really want these plates! "springtime" and then "travel" being my faves. do you think i could register for them?

Wow, that ALL came in the mail?!?!?! Amazing. I have a fab striped pillow from your mom that I just love. Yours is so very cute, too!
Glad to hear you are feeling better...we have been as sick as can be here in Boston as well. It's so nice to recover!
thanks so much mati... i would love to get set up for registries. i wish more small businesses & designers would. it's so boring to register at Bloomingdales (like I had too)!
i'm working on a new set of plates, inspired by my mis-matched wedding "china". hoping to have them available this summer.
