gratitude for 2009

seapoint with hugh
it feels so nice and calm to be in maine with the fire going, terry gross interviewing tracy morgan (have you heard this one?! so good) in the background and freezing wind whipping weather outside. hugh and i went for a walk to the beach today and by the end could barely feel our faces and our legs were bricks of ice... but oh so beautiful is the icy tundra river. as we walked we reflected on all that has happened this year~ the ups and downs and all that we are excited about for this upcoming year!
i was planning on writing a long chock full post recapping the year, but right now i just want to leave it as a loose hopeful conversation of what's ahead, and nearly behind us, and mostly to appreciate the right now.
frozen feet
happy new year, friends. i am very grateful for all of you whom visit here.

We do a ritual walk on the beach at new year so your photo looked like a familiar scene :^)

Tracy Morgan interview... I thought Terry was a bit cold (I was surprised), I think she could have been more giving - a little verbal hug would have been nice ...
