my brain is stretching
i had a 6 hour "narrative drawing" class today taught by jason jagel.
no idea, until i just googled him, how cool his art is:
http://www.richardhellergallery.com/dynamic/artwork_display.asp?ArtworkID=86.
OK techno savvy peeps- how do i make a link where you can just click on his name?!
in class we read a talk that was transcribed on narration called "the killers" by kathy ackers. i liked it so much i read it again on the BARt ride home.
"Where in this narration lies the real? It lies in the connections between the three sections, in the connections between the 'real' events and the holes, the silences. In the slippages. Slippages into what?"
how poetic.
i leave you with this gem. on why we create...
"The desire to play, to make literary structures that play into and in unknown or unknowable realms, those of chance and death and the lack of language, is the desire to live in a world that is open and dangerous, that is limitless. To play, then, both in structure and in content, is to desire to live in wonder."

2. then type in this text a href
3. then type in an equals sign like this =
4. then type a double apostrophe/quote symbol like this "
5. then put in the url you wrote like this http://www.richardhellergallery.com/dynamic/artwork_display.asp?ArtworkID=86
6. then the apostrophes again like this "
7. then type in a right V (above the full stop on your keyboard) like this >
8. then type in his name like this jason jagel
9. then type in a left V (above the comma on your key board) like this <
10. then type in a forward slash like this /
11. then type in an a like this a
and finally
12. then type in a right V (above the full stop on your keyboard) like this >
If you put it all together it should work like this
jason jagelIf you cant see the code now but if you go up to file on your menu now and click on "view source" you will be able to read the code
to whomever left me that coding advice, thank you x 10!!!
Fun!
Your IF illo makes me shiverrr! Put a coat quick :)
Also, if you are using blogger to post your blog, it's even easier. Simply highlight (you know, select the text) of the word or words you want to be the link. Then click the link icon on the little toolbar (it looks like two chain links sideways) and a little box pops up where you can either type in or paste the actual link.
Good luck!
