weekend in occidental= paradise

occidental paradise
funky outdoor sink
brilliant
i spent friday night into saturday afternoon celebrating my dear college friend kendra getting married in a few weeks! i've long admired kendra for her passion in doing what she loves in the food and sustainable agricultural world. when she came to minnesota from northern cali at age 18 and me from maine (and lived next door in the dorms) i had no sense of her corner of the world (and now mine) that is all about slow food, gardening and the likes of chez panisse. kendra really opened my eyes to appreciate growing + eating good food.

it would only be logical that she would celebrate her "bachelorette" at the occidental arts & ecology center where she once interned and is part of a community of like minded and impressive folks.

amazing local organic food for a dinner for 10 lovely women outside, wine tasting, a jump in the pond and a tour of the gardens blissed me out. then back to sf to the polar opposite world of union square shoe shopping for the bride to be. she found some special ones too of the likes of elvis...so exciting!

a few more pics here.

xoxo

Mati- That looks like a magical and peaceful place. I'm glad I checked your blog before heading to bed, maybe I'll have dreams of me being there.
Take Care.
Smiles and Hugs,
