Teatime

teatime
Taken on our friend's Olive Farm in Tuscany

I'm disappearing into paintland for 2 upcoming shows and an exciting collaboration to unveiled soon with my good friend Lisa Congdon. In the meantime I'm trying to post daily with a quick painting and hello from me. I realize how quickly I'm moving these days-- I totally just re-read and corrected what I wrote yesterday because I had written it so fast it was illegible. So I'm going to try to focus and sloooow down and make time for tea and treats. I wish the same for you all!

I just got a sweet text from a new friend about how she was inspired by my "gentle spirit and movements towards abundance... and that it reminded her that it was not only ok, but absolutely necessary to usher in that abundance". I am likewise really inspired by her witnessing and acknowledging this for herself. YES, I think part of this abundance talk is to encourage others to do the same. I also really appreciate that she noticed how I was gently ushering it in. It's easy to think you have to be aggressively hunting it down and go against your true nature. And I can't help, but think A Bun Dance like a reader pointed out!

If you haven't read Kelly's post on this topic, it's powerful.

Another thing I wanted to share is this great poem and video about being alone.

As an artist I spend a lot of time alone and crave it when I don't. Yet also really love my friends and am in the complete middle of the introvert/extrovert on Myers Briggs, but if I had to choose I think solitude fuels me... INFP case you wondered. hee.

And you, any Tuesday news, thoughts on Abundance, solitude or your Myer Briggs results?

i love High Tea and yours looks so delectable =-)

i like a certain amount of solitude (being a Scorpio) and like being with people (my Libra rising!) I'm sure I took the Meyers-Briggs test along with other personality tests and they said the same thing:

ARTIST

I guess it's about time I step into that role ;)

Mmmm tea. Peach is my favorite kind.

I did my very first mixed media painting on the weekend! Looking at it today brought a great feeling of abundance. I LOVE painting, and stepping into my creative truths. I can't wait to do the next piece.....and the next....and the next :)

Have lovely night,
Lisa

For years I tested as an INFP, because I didn't want to be an INFJ:) Finally have embraced it. I'm also finally embracing my solidary nature. And I LOVE this video! Thank you so much for posting it.

Always an ENFJ, but right on the E/I border, and now an official I ... so INFJ ... very strong F and very strong J!
I love the Myers-Briggs. As does my whole family. My mother's best story ever is sitting in a crowded restaurant talking animatedly to a friend about her MBTI type, and exclaiming loudly, "My problem is my P-ness!" Say that out loud and you can see why the restaurant ground to an abrupt, silent halt.

This is such a wonderful video. I like everything about it - but especially the sentiment. It reminded me how important it is to take time out sometimes and just "be".

Just love this video - such a meaningful celebration of aloneness.
Pleased you are taking time to not only slow down a bit and enjoy scrummy treats but to welcome that abundance in all things too!!
Huge hugs for another INFP!

"Solitude fuels me." I love that! I never thought of it that way. I can totally relate. Love my friends, but I am perfectly content going several days without talking to anyone. In fact, after big social events I crave homebody time. Sometimes I feel like I'm being weird & antisocial, but I'm beginning to accept that I LOVE being alone, & maybe it's good for me. Thanks for putting it into words:)
