letting go...

hello,

i've been going through a lot this last month... can ya tell? has everyone? it feels like something is shifting for folks... summertime. lately for me, it's all about letting go of the outcomes, but making space for what i want to happen. here is my new summer inspiration up in my studio.

summer inspiration

i put this piece in my studio to remind me of that state of letting go... and the hurt of being let go, but then the beauty in the breakdown. lighter times ahead. thank you imogen heap. i got some inquiries into the original... it's sold, but i offer you a high quality print for a limited time. i think i might do monthly etsy prints... and then something new. this one is for sweet june.

beauty in the breakdown, take 2

my show with my boy is swiftly approaching at aMuse Gallery-- june 29th! save the date friends! i'm thinking it will be love themed, but with a little anguish. your first crush. that specific pang/pitter patter of a young heart. that makeout in the backseat of the car kinda feeling. "that teenage feeling"... to quote neko case. any show title suggestions?

and our wedding is less than 3 months away to boot! i'm drawing lots of gooey hearts all over these days.

xo,
mati

hi mati, yes, your inspriation board is great! i love those aqua and red beads together. and the woman with the 'fro is powerful.

hmmm...possible title..hows about vinyl uphosltery burns? no, kinda crude, something more subtle like humid nights? anyway, so....exciting, wedding plans! congratulations to you both.

I found my way to your blog via Kally Rae's blog. Have loved visiting and seeing your work. Was amazed to find one of your fav bands is The Church, I am not sure if it's the same one I am thinking of as I am Australian? Could it be?
